Harding Middle School has been recognized as a 2025–26 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished Launch and Gateway School, marking its fifth consecutive year receiving this national honor. The recognition highlights Harding’s ongoing commitment to expanding high-quality STEM learning opportunities and ensuring students have early, meaningful access to hands-on, career-connected education.

Through PLTW Launch and Gateway programs, students engage in interactive, project-based learning experiences that build foundational skills in engineering, computer science, biomedical science, and real-world problem solving. Students collaborate to explore challenges, design solutions, and strengthen their critical thinking, creativity, communication, and teamwork skills, preparing them for success in high school and beyond.

Harding Middle School continues to play a key role in Steubenville City Schools’ K–12 STEM pathway, helping students build confidence and interest in high-demand career fields such as engineering, aerospace, cybersecurity, and healthcare. The program also strengthens readiness for advanced coursework at the high school level and future college and career opportunities.

This recognition reflects the dedication of the Harding staff, students, and the district in providing engaging, future-focused learning experiences that inspire curiosity and innovation every day.
